Global Warming Unfolding

This brochure about global warming awareness was created by designer Changzhi Lee. It starts like an iceberg and as you unfold it, the iceberg “melts” informing you about global warming and slowly destroying the polar bears habitat.

You can see the rest of the iceberg melt and the brochure unfold on BOOOOOOOM! It’s a really unique idea, so you should definitely check it out.

Interior Design=Getting Old.

Image from:  CasaSugar

The older I get, the more domestic I start feeling. It scares me to death. However, I can’t help but be drawn to beautiful interior decorating and design. Which is why I’m addicted to Home Sweet Style. This blog is a collective of images different people find on the internet and post for design junkies like me to drool over. I’m always particularly attracted to industrial design with pops of color. Actually, I love anything with pops of bright colors.

The room above is one of my favorites. I love the greyness of the background, but the brightness the pink chairs add, it matches perfectly with the picture hanging above the fireplace. Also, it’s awesome how the fireplace is utilized. It’s probably unable to be used, so the designer converted into an adorable bookshelf/record case. The 3 book towers give the room extra personality and originality. It’s a great way to take up extra corner space, and it was probably totally affordable, too. The room infuses together a perfect mixture of modern and classic design. Beautiful.

What Makes Life So Sweet

I was perusing through Print Society this morning, looking for some fresh art to breathe some life into my apartment. After clicking around for a few minutes I stumbled upon this beautiful embroidery with this line from an Emily Dickinson poem, “that it will never come again is what makes life so sweet.” Not only do I think this is absolutely beautiful, but Emily Dickinson is my favorite poet. Unfortunately, the print is completely sold out, I won’t be buying to frame and hang in my apartment. The artist has many other beautiful, affordable prints available for sale online.

marybethdoughnut My next photo endeavor is to capture people in a natural state. Too often we are consumed with posture and position and overlook people for who they really are, ignoring their most raw emotions.

This is an image I took of my cousin, Mary Beth, eating a doughnut. It is not posed, instead it documents the excitement of devouring the doughnut’s icing.
